Joseph’s face darkened, he made a signal and two bodyguards quickly came over, “I can’t do that, don’t worry, they will protect you.”<\/p>\n
Joseph turned around and walked away briskly.<\/p>\n
Edith stared at his cold figure and clenched her first, there was a hint of dissatisfaction in her eyes.<\/p>\n
Kathy was going through a rollercoaster ride of emotions, her agitation only dissipated when Joseph left after pushing Edith’s hand away.<\/p>\n

Kathy looked at where he was pointing and realized that it was true, but that would mean that he knew that she was hiding behind the pillar from the start.<\/p>\n
She hung her head low out of embarrassment, she didn’t hide on purpose.<\/p>\n
She then raised her head, she justly and forcefully questioned him, “So you went out in the middle of the night to comfort Edith?”<\/p>\n
Joseph frowned, he placed his palms on her slightly cold cheeks, “Edith was pestered by her uncle, I wasn’t comforting her, I was just sending her home.”<\/p>\n
“I see,” Kathy answered plainly.<\/p>\n
“Get the driver to drive you next time, don’t take a cab,” said Joseph, his voice velvety.<\/p>\n
Kathy bit her lips, she didn’t ask the driver because she didn’t want to bother him so late at night.<\/p>\n
Kathy had more freedom ever since she moved to Joseph Bay, no drivers constantly waiting for her, she liked it more this way.<\/p>\n
Not to mention she was planning to buy herself a car, it would be much more convenient.<\/p>\n
Joseph’s face darkened seeing Kathy ignoring what he said, he held her chin and she made a sad expression.<\/p>\n
“Are you still mad?”<\/p>\n
“Am I?”<\/p>\n
“Yes, Mrs. Johnson, you are jealous,” said Joseph firmly.<\/p>\n
Kathy pursed her lips, she pushed him away and said sourly, “I am jealous, you were so intimate with Edith just now.”<\/p>\n
“Yes, I admit that,” Joseph didn’t deny.<\/p>\n
Kathy was sullen, she turned around and left.<\/p>\n
How should she communicate properly with this man?<\/p>\n
Joseph smiled shrewdly, he then again pulled Kathy into his arms, Kathy was flapping around mid-air.<\/p>\n
The driver opened the door, Kathy stared at Joseph furiously as he squeezed her into the car.<\/p>\n
“Edith is technically my sister, I cannot leave her alone, but I’ll maintain my distance,” Joseph explained himself.<\/p>\n

She had a gut feeling that Edith was into Joseph, they weren’t biologically related and Edith always tried to get closer to Joseph.<\/p>\n

Kathy wasn’t laughing anymore after she put down the phone, she opened the search page and typed in “Johnson”.<\/p>\n
There was a lot of information on the internet about Johnson. He graduated from Havard with a master of finance, a few years later he yielded enormous profits for pharmaceutical companies overseas, he was a very competent manager.<\/p>\n
There were also some scandals about him and some sexy, flirtatious and gorgeous supermodels.<\/p>\n
She closed the webpage, she was worried but after seeing Johnson last night, she thought that maybe he was serious about Alexia.<\/p>\n
She stopped letting her thoughts run wild and continued with her work. During the afternoon she received a call from Joseph, he wanted her to attend the Joseph’s Group appreciation dinner with him.<\/p>\n
Kathy looked at her pile of work. Alexia wasn’t here today and she had a business trip tomorrow. There was no doubt that she had to work overtime today.<\/p>\n

“She never liked events like this, it’s her choice,” Joseph said lovingly.<\/p>\n
“But she is your wife, you cannot hide her forever,” said Lincoln as he rubbed his chin, he encountered Kathy once and thought that she was a cold person.<\/p>\n
