I could feel the hand of the man beside me tremble ever so slightly. It was so faint that I wouldn’t have noticed if I hadn’t been paying attention.<\/p>\n
I reached out and gripped his hand tightly, slipping my fingers between his and intertwining them together.<\/p>\n
“By blood and bond, the union is sealed.”<\/p>\n
The clerk handed one copy of the document to Luis and the other to me. His voice remained calm, yet it carried the weight of a ritual completed. “May Nyra guide your path.”<\/p>\n
Luis took the mate bond certificate and turned to me, extending his hand once more. This time, his smile was bright and warm, without a trace of shadow.<\/p>\n
“Now, my Luna,” he murmured, his eyes glittering like stars. “Let’s go home.”<\/p>\n
We walked out of the solemn, quiet building together.<\/p>\n
