They had stayed awake until almost dawn. Lying in Joseph’s arm, Kathy murmured, “I thought you won’t be back for another dozen of days.”<\/p>\n

They woke up in the noon. Kathy opened her eyes and saw the man next to her. The fatigue on his face was obvious.<\/p>\n

Kathy pursed her lips and remained silent.<\/p>\n
Actually, she would be jealous.<\/p>\n
In the afternoon, Kathy went to the hospital with Joseph. He was the director of the neurology department, and his absence due to the business trip left many things unattended.<\/p>\n
They were busy until night. Joseph did not visit Ella. She should have been discharged from the hospital long ago.<\/p>\n
Ella rushed over when she learned that Joseph was back.<\/p>\n
“Mr Joseph, good to see you again.”<\/p>\n
“You can be discharged anytime now. When are you leaving?” asked Joseph directly.<\/p>\n
Ella was brought up short. She looked at Joseph in silence with one hand on her head.<\/p>\n
“I’m not leaving the hospital,” she said coldly.<\/p>\n
“I will talk to Mrs Bridges,” said Joseph without any mercy.<\/p>\n
“My mother told you to take care of me.”<\/p>\n
“Ella….” Joseph’s face turned colder.<\/p>\n
At once, Ella was intimidated.<\/p>\n
“I’m tired. I’m going back to sleep.”<\/p>\n
“Follow me,” Joseph said plainly.<\/p>\n
Zofia thought she would be rejected on the spot, but now she was overjoyed.<\/p>\n
She followed Joseph to the office, only to find her own desk was already arranged, right next to Joseph’s.<\/p>\n
“Since you have trouble moving around, some simple paperwork for you will do,” said Joseph.<\/p>\n
“I can go anywhere with you.”<\/p>\n
“No need,” Joseph said coldly.<\/p>\n
Zofia bit her lips and fell silent.<\/p>\n
She would find a chance eventually.<\/p>\n
Kathy only found out about it a few days later. She had been busy in the hospital. She wouldn’t have to return to school frequently if it wasn’t for the research.<\/p>\n
“Kathy, hadn’t Joseph told you about this?” Sonny asked in surprise.<\/p>\n
“Are you sure?” Kathy frowned.<\/p>\n
“The whole school knows. Zofia is envied by so many of them. However, University F has always been giving privileges to the handicapped and she happens to be one of them. It’s no surprise that she got in.”<\/p>\n
“Alright then,” said Kathy disappointedly.<\/p>\n
She still disliked Zofia, but she felt sorry for her legs.<\/p>\n
However, that was totally her own fault.<\/p>\n
“Joseph should be able to transfer her away,” said Sonny casually.<\/p>\n
“It is the school who hires her. What can he do?” replied Kathy.<\/p>\n
Zofia had dropped out of Ocean University. It would be hard for her to find a job like that.<\/p>\n
Staying in University F was actually a good choice for her.<\/p>\n
“I thought he was afraid that it might upset you,” Sonny’s tone somehow made Kathy uncomfortable.<\/p>\n
