“Joseph, you’ve no right to control everything about me.” Kathy’s tone was slightly cold.<\/p>\n
“Get them out of here,” Joseph ordered the bodyguard, as if he didn’t hear Kathy’s reply.<\/p>\n
As Kathy watched Zofia being taken out, she was worried.<\/p>\n
“Brother\u2026” Zofia asked Bertie for help.<\/p>\n
But he was no match for these bodyguards, and there must be a reason for Joseph to do this.<\/p>\n
He was relieved that he had made sure Kathy was safe, for now at least.<\/p>\n
“Let’s go back first,” Bertie said.<\/p>\n
Bertie was always good at judging situations, and they wouldn’t have the upper hand if they made trouble on Joseph’s turf.<\/p>\n
“Kathy, I’ll visit you again.”<\/p>\n
The ward soon quieted down, and Kathy’s eyes became frosty as she stared at Joseph.<\/p>\n
She couldn’t see through him at all.<\/p>\n
“Kathy, I have to do this for your safety.”<\/p>\n

Sure enough, Joseph’s face took on a ghastly expression.<\/p>\n
He was even angrier than he was a moment ago.<\/p>\n
But Kathy was not afraid to make direct eye contact with him.<\/p>\n
“You’ve no choice.”<\/p>\n
“I want to be transferred,” Kathy said in a deep voice.<\/p>\n
She didn’t want to stay here, where Joseph was.<\/p>\n
His control just made her want nothing more than to run away from him.<\/p>\n
“Don’t even think about it!”<\/p>\n
Kathy ignored him and took out her phone. She could only contact Jennifer to pick her up.<\/p>\n
But in the next second, her phone was taken away from her by Joseph, who even turned off the light in the ward.<\/p>\n
“You should go to bed early. Don\u2019t overthink the problem.”<\/p>\n
With that, he left the ward. There was only a soft light in the ward, and Kathy couldn’t see her surroundings clearly.<\/p>\n

When Joseph heard John’s words, the ruthlessness flashed across Joseph’s eyes.<\/p>\n
“Make sure the security measures here are perfect. I don’t want what just happened to happen again. No one is allowed in here.”<\/p>\n
Kathy stayed awake until the next morning.<\/p>\n
Her gaze was fixed on the closed door. She couldn’t get out of bed by herself, so she had no choice but to wait for Joseph to come in.<\/p>\n
But in fact, he was outside the door all along and never left.<\/p>\n
She spent a sleepless night, and so did he.<\/p>\n

Kathy sneered, “It seems that you have treated this place as your home rather than a hospital.”<\/p>\n
“Do as I say, Kathy.” Joseph’s tone was softened.<\/p>\n
But Kathy was not to be dissuaded at all.<\/p>\n
“Joseph, if I get the phone back, I’ll call the police immediately!”<\/p>\n
Joseph’s expression remained indifferent and didn’t get angry at Kathy’s words.<\/p>\n
“Eat something before you have the strength to call the police, otherwise I’ll have to ask the nurse to give you an IV drip.”<\/p>\n
Kathy bit her lips hard. In front of him, she seemed to be a puppet that he could manipulate at will.<\/p>\n

“You think I’m imprisoning you?” Joseph’s look was frosty and sullen.<\/p>\n
“Absolutely.” Kathy sneered.<\/p>\n
She didn’t feel like she was recuperating at all.<\/p>\n
Joseph didn’t say a word, and his eyes were terrifying.<\/p>\n
After a while, he slammed the door and left sullenly.<\/p>\n
